The Estonian National Museum (ERM) launched two large-scale research projects in 2024 with the aim of supporting the digital development of museums, finding new ways to use digital cultural heritage, and increasing collaboration between museums and the gaming industry.

Both the Estonian National Museum in Tartu and the Heimtali Museum in Viljandi County feature several new exhibitions that speak through symbolic or poetic language, tell stories about Estonians, recycling practices, or national attire, or are presented in a unique audiovisual format. 

The Estonian National Museum will focus on sustainability in everyday life from October 30 to November 2.

MOMENTUM 2024 : got best small scale conference award in Tartu 2024 !

From 30 September to 2 October 2024, an international conference titled Momentum: Exhibitions and Memory will be held at the Estonian National Museum, bringing together exhibition specialists from several dozen countries around the world.

Today, the treasured heritage keeper has grown into one of Estonia's most important cultural centres, drawing history and architectural enthusiasts, art lovers, and adventure seekers.

83 speakers from more than 15 countries in Europe and beyond meet in Tartu for the international conference "Sustainability in Practice: DIY Repair, Reuse, and Innovation".
